Technology

Educational technologies have become well integrated into my work.  I have embedded screencasts, Edmodo, Google Apps for Education, social media, and other online apps and resources into both teaching and collaboration. At Melrose High School, I introduced and created a LibGuides website for the library, and worked with teachers to create digital resource lists for both teachers and students. At both Melrose High School and MC School, I have introduced ebooks as part of the library collection. At MC School, I have managed the automation of the library catalog and circulation through Follett Destiny integrated library system.

Over the last couple of years, I have also been involved with developing and leading interactive workshops for volunteers and students on the effective integration of mobile technology and social media into human rights work and advocacy with Amnesty International USA. I facilitated workshops at the 2012 Amnesty International USA Northeast Regional Conference and the 2013 Northeast Regional Leadership Retreat, and most recently helped staff a "Genius Bar"-style help desk at the 2013 AI USA Northeast Regional Conference.
